BACKGROUND:

Once again, the United States is facing a foreign enemy that has vowed to wage war against this country. As you know, the Sunni terrorist army of The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is making great gains in its stated goal of converting those two nations into a deadly radical Islamic regime. Like others before, this tyranny is telling us exactly what it intends to do – and it is critical to have Washington pay attention to these stated threats. These threats can become a brutal reality with our unprotected southern border for one simple reason: if illegal immigrants can enter our country and do what they please, then it also means that ISIS terrorists can do the same.

ACTION ITEM:

The U.S. House committee on Homeland Security has a special Subcommittee on Border & Maritime Security. Its counterpart in the Senate is the Subcommittee on Immigration, Refugees and Border Security. We need to contact the members of these subcommittees to demand new efforts in assessing and accounting for the ISIS threat that WILL use the same access into our country so freely used by thousands of others. Both subcommittees are currently working on House Bill H.R.3846: United States Customs and Border Protection Authorization Act (latest title).
