The Mayor's Race: A City Divided
There is not a big win for either camp this morning. The city is divided and the winner will come down to a few hundred votes.
There will be accusations and yelling in a room filled with lawyers. The Supervisor of Elections office will once again be thrown into the mix of political warfare as they look at every ballot cast.
The 30+% of people who voted will wait for the final count.
And behind the scenes, MoveOn.org and Organizing for America will be preparing their paid people to protest should it not go their way.
The Tiny Union will write stories about the land slide victory if their man wins. They will write about the stolen election if ours does.
We’ve seen this before and nothing ever changes. Nothing will ever change until the rest of Duval County wakes up and realizes because they didn’t vote, they will now be led by a handful of people – like them or not.
And let this be known…
If Mike Hogan wins, we will be thankful.
If Alvin Brown wins, we will not “throw ourselves behind him” because Mr. Brown chose to ignore the tea party members and chose to ignore the many questions posed to him about his background. We will not go away and we will continue to ask the questions until they are answered. The questions are too important to be ignored.
And…we will not rest until North Florida has a newspaper that investigates the stories and reports the facts. The owners of the Tiny Union should be run out of town for not writing about the MoveOn.org and Organizing for America operatives AND for not doing a story on the questions posed to Mr. Brown. They ignored these stories and for some reason, chose to denigrate Mike Hogan.
This is happening all over America and will continue to happen until new leadership takes hold in Washington. The political machine from DC ran this race and no one can say it wasn't so. We know it and they know we know it. We have the proof even if the Tiny Union will not print it.
As the recount begins today, keep praying that David will beat Goliath.

@Derby Ulloa What i do not understand you can do all of that at the DMV and various other places where one would change their addresses on their drivers license etc., why would you change it on the day you were voting? That should not be allowed. Governor Scott is backing legislation to change the pre-voting of 2 weeks to roll it back to 1 week the actual voting day and also to prevent people from changing their addresses at the polls. Agree with you on all, there use to be a time when US citizens were Americanized period and it should remain so, look at the mess in Canada and Europe because of Multri-culturalism, many PMs and Presidents of those countries have stated that it has clearly failed because of obvious problems.

Also President Obama has put Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz over the DNC. I have watched that woman over and over grin and lie about facts to the camera. She is one of the most disingenuous Congressional members that i have ever seen before. She kept stating lies about Scott Brown of Mass. when he was running for the Senate, while smiling and a reporter kept repeating over and over, Ms Wasserman-Schultz, you know that is not true, quit right now stating those false facts. Stop it! ... and she finally stopped and stood there right in front of camera grinning. WHY she was re-elected is beyond me, she apparently has a district of fools. I have never in my life seen one person lie so much about almost everything that comes out of her mouth. And now she is the spokes person for the DNC.

Billie and Michael, they did not really use poll watchers in the last election as they didn't really need them. This election was different because of the dynamics of it and because there were both a republican and democrat. Michael, if I can be a poll watcher, you most certainly can. All you really have to care about is that it is an honest and fair election.............and taking the class to learn the laws would help. They will be looking again in June. Volunteer and go and take the classes and be really prepared. This election was only a precursor of what is to come in 2012 and all the dirty Obama tricks.

Obama received 365 electoral votes, and McCain 173. (The popular vote was 69,456,897 to 59,934,814, respectively.)
Looking at those figures, a third party would of diluted votes for McCain but un-change the votes for Obama. (sadly i saw a lot of teachers in my neighborhood vote for Obama and i still do not understand why.), Somehow the Republican party must get behind a constitutional fiscal conservative and excite the vote and we need to be very careful on WHO is running for Congress. If we can at least take over the control of Congress then half the battle is won, hopefully we will take over full control of the executive and legislative branch but it is going to be very deceptive and dirty race and all voters need to be very careful of who they vote for, because of all the disingenuous tactics by political candidates and the press.
Amazing our own city voted overwhelmingly against Obama, what in the heck happened this week? Our city was clearly hijacked. I just did a web search of the mayor race and tell me WHY is this election being reported by MSNBC, The Chicago Tribune and the LA Times? It was a very busy news cycle to boot.
This is just the start of 2012.

If the Republicans had any brains, they should outlaw early voting while they have control of Tallahassee . Dems. would have less time to commit voter fraud. ALL VOTERS should be required to re-register, and the only way to do it is to show a BIRTH CERTIFICATE or a CERTIFICATE OF NATURALIZATION. Ballots should be in ENGLISH ONLY. It is stupid to allow illiterates to vote.

I don't think a 3rd party is at all practical for our country but I would vote for a 3rd party candidate, e.g., if a milquetoast like McCain were to run again for our side. No could do a second time. Probably gonna be same for Mitt (whom I used to like) or Newt "shoot myself in the foot" Gingrich.
Billie, if that statement doesn't disqualify me, I will happily volunteer to be a poll watcher in the future at any time, any precinct location. Just need to know what I need to learn and where to be.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
